REPORTS TO:           VP of Human Resources


Responsible for managing all of the sourcing, recruiting, and hiring for GO Riteway Transportation Group. The Recruiting Director must lead and develop a Talent Acquisition team through creation of a recruiting and sourcing strategy aligned to the company’s strategic priorities and annual goals. This is done with key business stakeholders, including Operations heads, partners, and other HR colleagues. The person is expected to successfully communicate and maintain the employee value proposition and brand that will attract and retain a high performing workforce. They will manage a team of recruiters to build talent acquisition capability, processes, and systems across the company. A high level of detail is needed to ensure compliant hiring standards are met, and that all regulations are adhered to. Collaborate with the Vice President of Human Resources to ensure that talent acquisition processes and systems reflect the organization’s commitment to its mission, values, and inclusion and diversity.

1. Manage recruiting function and Recruiting team for company   (50%)

  • Manage the recruiting process from start to finish. Own and administer the Applicant Tracking System to manage the entire requisition creation process through hire for the entire company.
  • Set goals and manage workload, and performance of recruiting staff. (3 individuals)
  • Evaluate recruiting strategy, process, and source effectiveness to ensure efficient and effective hiring.
  • Guide and instruct managers on what to do, and how to do recruiting functions at the terminal level to ensure recruitment is a daily task for our operations managers.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with vendors and departments to support recruitment processes including search firms, government agencies, and other organizations. Continue to increase utilization of centralized recruitment services.

 2. Source, Screen, Verify, and hire  (30%) 

  • As a working management role, the position will be responsible for full cycle recruiting of key positions in the organization.
  • Create, and implement new sources to ensure the organization is up to date on what medium we advertise in, where we do different recruiting practices, when we need to initiate hiring campaigns, who is responsible for different activities, and how items get completed and how success is measured.
  • Ensure each and every hire falls within the company and legal requirements set to ensure compliance.
  • Have consistent communication practices in place to ensure new employees are transitioned to their managers effectively once hired.
  • Work with Operational heads to develop and adjust to ongoing operational staffing needs.

3. Analyze strategy and propose new ideas (20%) 

  • Work to develop recruiting strategies
  • Use business intelligence to develop recruitment plans, short and long-range staffing goals, and support institutional growth.
  • Provide additional reporting to the business as required


  • 10+ years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, with relevant leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking skills and experience in building sourcing and recruitment strategies.
  • Successful track record in leading or managing cross-functional initiatives related to Talent Acquisition strategies or process implementation.
  • Advanced analytical skills to assess a variety of metrics to drive strategy development and execution.
  • Strong collaboration and alignment skills with the ability to communicate vision and gain alignment with senior leadership, external partners, and peers
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to effectively translate complex ideas and tailor key messages to multiple audiences.



Proven track record in high volume staffing/hiring important for ongoing success.

Background in an RPO environment is a plus.

Staffing Service industry background and the sales minded approach that accompanies that industry preferred.
