Riteway Parks Buses for Community

As Riteway buses prepare to hit the road for school start up, a few will remain parked to be filled with donated school supplies for kids in need within the Germantown community. This August, GO Riteway Transportation Group is again joining forces with the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County, BMO Harris Bank and First Bank Financial Centre as well as other community partners throughout the county in the annual Stuff the Bus Campaign and Back 2 School Fair.

The Back 2 School Fair is an annual event for families in need within Washington County providing children who need it most with school supplies.  Families are confidentially identified and invited to the Back 2 School Fair by Family Services of Washington County. School supply donations collected through the Stuff the Bus campaign are distributed to these families during the Back 2 School Fair.  The Boys & Girls Club and their community partners coordinate these events in three Washington County communities: Germantown, Hartford and West Bend.  All of the donated items collected remain in the community in which they were received.  After the collection period they are sorted and organized into backpacks and given to the children who really need them.

From mid-July to mid-August you’ll see GO Riteway school buses parked in Germantown at the BMO Harris Bank on Pilgrim Road and the First Bank Financial Centre on Mequon Road.  Each location is collecting school supplies to be stuffed in the bus.  Just stop in and place your donation in the collection bin.  Then, on Friday, August 15th from 3 pm to 7 pm and Saturday, August16th from 9 am to 3 pm, a full size school bus will be parked at the Wal-Mart in Germantown for the big collection drive. Items collected during this period will be combined with the Stuff the Bus collections that occurred during the month in all three communities.  Please join us in this great cause and Stuff the Bus!
