Over the course of 50+ years of operation we have received many awards. The actual physical awards themselves are not that important, but the acknowledgement that others are recognizing our efforts is.
2012
Green Fleet Sustainability All-Star 2012
Recognized at the Green Fleet Conference as 2012 Sustainability All-Star for accomplishments in green fleet ststainability.
Department of Defense Safety Rating 2012
GO Riteway Transportatio Group received a “1″ rating on our Department of Defense (DOD) audit that was conducted at the end of February, 2012.
United Motorcoach Association (UMA) Safety Leader of the Year
The United Motorcoach Association (UMA) and award co-sponsor Daecher Consulting Group presented GO Riteway Transportation Group with the 2012 UMA Safety Leader Award at the UMA Motorcoach Expo in Long Beach, CA. This award is presented each year to an individual or organization that has been instrumental in accomplishing innovative or beneficial safety achievements for their company or the industry.
GO Riteway becomes TSX Approved for Best-in-Class Safety Standards
In February, 2012 the Transportation Safety Exchange (TSX) announced that GO Riteway Transportation Group had become TSX Approved as a safer motor carrier, having successfully completed the Transportatio Safety Exchange Comprehensive Review (TSX-CR). Being TSX Approved demonstrates a motor carrier’s dedication to better safety standards.
American Bus Association (ABA) 2012 Green Operator Award
Amid the doers and shakers in the motor coach tour and travel industries, Wisconsin-based GO Riteway Transportation Group was honored with the very first American Bus Association’s (ABA) Green Operator Award. The award, developed in cooperation with ABA’s environmental committee, and sponsored by leading coach manufacturer MCI, recognizes companies that choose to go greener. Go Riteway was chosen as the first recipient of the award because of its leadership and commitment to green stewardship.
2011
Wisconsin Clean Cities Southeast Area – 2011 Clean Energy Champion
On December 15, 2011 Wisconsin Clean Cities recognized GO Riteway Transportation Group as a Clean Energy Champion. Wisconsin Clean Cities selected GO Riteway for this award in recognition of their outstanding support of Wisconsin Clean Cities and its mission to promote cleaner air and energy security through alternative fuel development and related strategies.
National School Transportation Association (NSTA) – 2011 Go Yellow, Go Green Award
This award recognizes a leader in the school bus industry who has demonstrated initiative and commitment in pursuing positive responses to growing environmental concerns. A single award is presented annually to the NSTA member who, through corporate practice and industry leadership, best demonstrates the principles of NSTA’s Go Yellow, Go Green campaign. The campaign promotes the greater use of school buses as a viable response to the problems of air pollution and excessive fuel usage.
2010
United Motorcoach Association Green Highway Award
National award presented to the motorcoach operator who demonstrates the greatest commitment to “green stewardship” in the areas of internal corporate initiative, external corporate stewardship or community and industry-wide green leadership
Wisconsin Partners for Clean Air Recognition Award
Awarded for efforts to improve Wisconsin’s air quality through eco-friendly policies and procedures that are in place to address emission reduction, fuel conservation including operating vehicles that meet new EPA guidelines
TRAX 400 Point Risk Control Award of Excellence
Annual award is given to TRAX (TRAX Insurance Ltd.) member who demonstrates excellence and commitment to the prevention and control of workplace safety hazards and exposures.
National School Transportation Association (NSTA) 2010 Green Fleet Certification – Gold
Given to operators for their commitment to improving the environment through cleaner school bus fleets and company-wide practices to reduce engine exhaust emissions and conserve fuel. The only green fleet certification program endorsed by the EPA that is available in the school bus industry.
Wisconsin Asthma Coalition (WAC) 2010 Taking Action for Asthma Award
Company is chosen for leadership and commitment to reducing outdoor air pollution and providing a safer environment for people with asthma.
Wisconsin Clean Cities Southeast Area, Inc.: 2010 Clean Energy Champion
Riteway was chosen in recognition of outstanding efforts to promote cleaner air and energy security through use of emission control technologies, idle reduction and fuel conservation programs; newer, lower emitting vehicles, and solar powered vehicles to be in place in 2011.
GO Operator of the Year
Received the first GO operator of the Year award for our commitment to our customers and colleagues throughout the GO Network and, for our “green” initiatives.
2009
National School Transportation Association (NSTA) – 2009 Gold – Green Fleet Certification
Given to operators for their commitment to improving the environment through cleaner school bus fleets and company-wide practices to reduce engine exhaust emissions and conserve fuel. This is the only green fleet certification program endorsed by the EPA that is available in the school bus industry.
BUSRide Motorcoach Industry Achievement Award
Riteway was selected for this award as a result of devotion to the community and concern for their employees. The award was given because of the action Riteway took to rectify sleep apnea and driver fatigue.
Travel Green Wisconsin Certification
First ground transportation in WI to be certified. This award gives recognition to businesses for reducing their environmental footprint through eco-friendly practices. Riteway is the first ground transportation company in Wisconsin to achieve this honor.
BUSRide Industry Achievement Award
This annual award honors the motorcoach owner-operator who demonstrates excellence and innovation throughout their business achievements.
University of Vermont Green Coach Certification (pilot program)
Awarded two Green Coach certifications for “green” efforts in passenger miles per gallon and operating vehicles with EPA 2007 and 2010 compliant engines
